About

An end-to-end encrypted, Apple Pencil-first notes app for iPad. No plaintext content ever touches disk — each note is encrypted with its own key, and that key is locked to a hardware security chip on the device. It's built around writing by hand: shape recognition that refuses to guess at ambiguous strokes, and a protractor so lines snap to exact angles.

Planned features

  1. Your notes are unreadable without the key

    planned

Each note is encrypted with its own key, wrapped to the device's secure hardware. A copy of the file is useless without it.

  2. Pencil-first shape recognition

    planned

Lines, angles, and boxes recognized from the stroke itself — tuned to refuse rather than guess. Handwriting and scribbles are never rewritten, and lines snap to exact degrees.

  3. Passphrase recovery

    planned

A recovery path derived from your passphrase, so a lost device is not a lost archive.

  4. Security-reviewed by default

    planned

Every change to the encryption gets an adversarial review pass. That process caught a real security flaw before it could ship.

  5. Cross-device sync

    planned

Encrypted sync across devices — architecture decision pending (iCloud vs a private backend; see roadmap).
